On the downside - It has shown me my pride. I don't like it when some people tell me I've written something incorrectly. I get my back up and stamp my foot. (Critique partners are not in this category. ;-) )
On the upside - My creativity amazes me. My characters have gotten themselves into tight corners but my imagination manages to figure out how to get them out of it.
Before I became an author, I would have said neither of those traits fit me. But now I know they exist.
