Once upon a time, I was a monster.

A predator who seized women just to get my kicks.

And then along came Lily. Lily—the light that chased my demons away.
Consumed with love for her, I finally put the sins of those torrid times behind me, until one dark day, everything changes.
I’m lured back into the shadows, the monster awoken again and now it will take every ounce of Lily’s submission to pull me back from the brink.
My betrayal sends our lives into a spiral of despair, and with justice looming on the horizon, it’s time we faced The End.

Forbidden is a gripping, powerful, and emotional page turner with a breathtaking climax for fans of dark romance with a twist of true crime. It is the third in The Dark Necessities Prequels trilogy.

Ethan’s cock throbbed with need at the way Lily responded to his decision. Her already flaming cheeks seemed to blush harder and her breaths were coming out in short pants. He threw her a smile as he closed the drawer and made his way back to the bed clutching his choice of implements. As his shins hit the side of the covers, he tossed them down, just a few inches from Lily’s head.
She lifted her gaze, eyeing all three with obvious suspicion.
“So, my naughty wife prefers the paddle, does she?” he asked, for some reason still talking about Lily in the third person even though she was right there on her knees in front of him. There was just something about the deed, somehow it seemed to objectify Lily further—an objective they both wanted him to achieve.
“Does that mean I should use it first or last?”
Lily’s wide eyes met his gaze. “Sir?”
He didn’t have to look into her thoughts to see the panic swelling in her now, Lily’s body language was giving it away effortlessly and his erection grew as a direct result. After all this time, that flicker of fear in Lily’s gaze still made him hard. But then Ethan guessed some things would never change.
“Never mind,” he told her with a smile. “I have decided to be kind and save the best until last for you.”
She gasped, probably uncertain if that was a kindness or not, but wisely, Lily said nothing. Ethan reached forward, selecting the thin cane from just beyond her nose and holding it up for inspection. It had been a very long time since he’d last caned Lily, but based on the huffing and puffing that was coming from her, she hadn’t forgotten its keen bite.
“Oh God!”
The words left her lips in a rushed breath and Ethan knew how much effort it was taking for Lily to remain in position for him. Every instinct in her body was telling her to get up and run for the door.
“But you’re not going to run, are you, Lily?”
She pressed her palms down in front of her, as though she needed to ground herself. “No, sir,” she promised. “But please. I hate that thing.”
Ethan lowered the cane and moved toward her. “Hate is a strong word, little one,” he replied in a soft voice. “You may not like it, but do you deserve it?”
Lily screwed her face up. “Maybe, sir, but—”
He lifted the cane above her prone arse as her protest began, bringing it down swiftly across both helpless cheeks and ending her sentence.
She leapt from the bed at the impact, yelling out into the covers as she buried her face in them.
“There will be no excuses, Lily.” Ethan’s voice was little more than a growl as he tilted his head to assess the mark the implement had made against her pale skin. “You will kneel there and take your punishment like a good girl. Got it?”
Lily lifted her head, blinking away tears as she answered. “Yes, sir. I’ve got it.”
Ethan nodded. “Good. Six strokes of the cane then?”
He presented it as a question, though he didn’t know why. Lily’s fate was already sealed.
“Six more, sir?” she whined.
“Absolutely, six more,” he repeated. “That first one was just a warning about what happens when we don’t accept our punishment.”
She pressed her face back into the covers at that and Ethan smiled. It was such an ironic sentiment coming from a man like him—a man who had successfully dodged his punishment for decades. Inching forward he raised the cane over her vulnerable backside.
“You’re going to thank me for each strike, Mrs. Reilly,” he told her. “And then, once we’re finished with the cane, you can tell me what you’re being punished for.”
Lily sniffed, twisting her head at the news. “Yes, sir,” she mewled.
Ethan swatted her with the cane again, and this time he did it with real force. He watched with satisfaction as Lily’s fingers clawed at their bedding, but somehow, she swallowed down the pain. Ethan smiled. He was almost proud of her.
She lifted her head. “Thank you, sir,” she managed, although Ethan could tell it was killing her to have to say the words.
“You’re welcome,” he replied happily. “That was one.”
He landed the next strike a little lower than the first and this time she squealed.
Damn it, Ethan! That hurts so much!
“Good,” he told her sternly. “I want it to bloody hurt, Lily. I want you to remember why it hurts every time you try and sit down.”
She inhaled at that, the defiance radiating from her body. “Thank you, sir.”
That was said between gritted teeth, but still, she had said it. That’s what counted. Ethan could work on getting her to mean it as they went.
“That’s two, Lily. Brace yourself.”
Lily’s cheeks tensed at his command and Ethan wanted to chuckle.
“Not like that,” he chided, tapping her cheeks with the end of the cane. “Relax those cheeks and just be ready.”
She panted again, and in Lily’s thoughts Ethan caught a myriad of complaints, but he ignored them, instead lining up his next shot. He aimed for the place her thighs met by delicious arse, and this time Lily jumped clear from the bed at the hurt.
“Ow, ow, ow!” she yelped, reaching around to claw at the punished area.
“Get those hands away,” he barked. “You know better than that, Lily!”
He ensured he locked gazes with her and Lily bit her lip in shame as she withdrew her palms. “I’m sorry, sir,” she whimpered. “But it’s too much.”
No, it’s not, his thoughts told her. It’s not even close to being too much, sweetheart.
Watery eyes blinked at him.
Accept your fate or I will be harder on you.
It took a moment, but Ethan saw the moment she ceded the point. Her shoulders slumped, her head falling forward again.
“Better,” he praised. “Now, thank me and then you can tell me how many strikes you have left.”
Lily shifted her head miserably. “Thank you, sir,” she mumbled. “There are three to go.”
Though God knows how I’ll get through them.
“You’ll get through them,” Ethan said with a smile. “You’ll get through all of it, and do you know why, little girl?”
Lily’s gaze had the temerity to narrow at that. “Because I deserve it, sir.”
“Right,” he replied. “Now spread those legs and get ready. The last three are coming hard and fast.”

#1 Multi-Genre Best Selling Author Breanna Hayse brings you The Game Plan:

A story of love, hope, healing and discipline under the power of an age-play relationship.
After being abandoned by her father, twenty-year old Cassandra Johnson fought against being loved by anyone. Even after her mother married ex-Dolphins Quarterback Big Bill Johnson, she resisted every attempt to become part of her new family. Her resistance includes any interaction with the older Johnson boys who seem to enjoy nothing more than bossing her around. After the sudden passing of her mother, Cassie grows tired of living under the thumb of her dominating family and decides to press for independence. She starts by asserting her obstinate and willful disposition and defying all rules laid out for her.
When Bill goes to Japan for three months on business, he leaves Rob, the oldest of his sons, in charge. After the deliberate breaking of several house rules and multiple temper tantrums, Rob decides that a change to the "Game Plan" is necessary to bring Cassie under control to prevent her from hurting herself. The first thing on his list is taking the brat for a well-deserved trip over his knee for a bare bottom spanking!
Over the years, Rob had watched Cassie grow from an awkward little girl to a beautiful young woman. He struggles with his feelings when his interest in Cassie goes far beyond just curbing her naughty behavior. Her dream of having a life free from control is soon shattered when Bryon, the second oldest of the Johnson boys, adds some firm-handed discipline of his own.
The stubborn young woman soon finds herself facing more than just an old-fashioned, over the knee, bare-bottom spanking. She quickly learns that the Age-play lifestyle can lead to the healing of a long-broken and hardened heart. Even though she immerses herself in the joyful role of being Rob and Bryon’s Little girl, she wonders if she is truly wired for the type of relationship that they offer her. She also questions her ability to accept being Rob’s ‘big girl’ and give him what he longs for by becoming a true submissive.

Time Out
The Game Plan Series Book 2

The sequel to the original contemporary Age-Play book, the Game Plan, is here and bring you more fun and antics of the Johnson family as they grow together in Age-play and BDSM relationships.

You’ll meet Krissy, Bryon’s sweet little girl, as she is introduced to the concept of age play and discovers herself in the process. Suzanne and Glenn are back, and Suzanne explores her own femininity and puts pride aside to face her fears and needs as a Domme. Of course, we can’t forget Rob and Cassie as they grow and indulge in their own D&S lifestyle. Worlds collide as Cassie and Krissy fight over Daddy Bryon, Bryon and Glenn fight over Suzanne, and Rob seems to be the only voice of reason that is heard. And that's just the beginning...

Publishers Note: the Age-Play Dynamic of the BDSM lifestyle is the most trusting and intimate of all. It values innocence, trust and nurturing of consenting adults. If you enjoy this genre, please check out many more of my AP stories, including a nonfiction piece (The General's Little Angel) which shares how I was introduced to the dynamic.
Thank you for reading!

There are more twists and turns, sizzling hot sex, and well-spanked bottoms than this quiet little suburb of Miami can handle!

Her Dom and her Daddy Dom give her everything her Little heart desires—love, attention, pleasure, guidance and even discipline. They both belong to her, in and out of the bedroom, and her life finally feels stable, satisfying and secure. But then her happiness takes a turn when Daddy Bryon announces the probability that he will make his relationship with his girlfriend, Krissy, a permanent one. Throwing salt on her wounds, Cassie learns that both her Doms are interest in sharing her wonderful world with Krissy!
The Little Green Monster is let loose as the young woman faces the pain of being pushed aside and replaced. Devastated when her Little mode is carelessly ordered to ‘grow up,’ she decides to end BDSM, Age-Play and her engagement to Rob. Nothing, or no one, will change her mind.
Except for Dorian Graye, the Whip Master and the ‘king’ of the BDSM community.
Distraught by Cassie’s withdrawal, Rob and Bryon decide to take her to meet their mentor. Cassie can’t resist either Dorian’s charm or his raw ability to read into her needs, and instantly sinks into her Little place. The powerful Dom and his beautiful wife, Meredith, take her under their wing to teach her how to release her fears and open herself to play, passion, and freedom.
Self-doubt disappears in the presence of her new aunt and uncle. Cassie discovers the love of a BDSM family, all of which are equally happy to put her across the knee for a humiliating, bare bottom spanking as they are to spoil her with stuffies and ice-cream sundaes. The more she releases her Little to them, the greater the joy and freedom she receives.
She has only one concern, and that is if the magic spell of Graye Manor will disappear after they return home. There she must face the likelihood that both her Little space and her men will be shared with the other Little girl. Is her Little ready for such a Big step?

The Game Plan Series Book 4

Breanna Hayse, the #1 Multi-Genre Best-Selling author and founder of the contemporary Age-Play Phenomena, brings you BOOK 4 of the beloved Game Plan Series! TOUCHDOWN

Following the unannounced departure as the two older Johnson boys take their shared sub on vacation during Spring Break (End Zone, Book 3), Kristina Barker is left feeling abandoned, disposable and hurt. A vague text message from her boyfriend/Dom, Bryon, makes her question the reality of everything she had grown to love—including him.

Being home alone while the other three explore the pleasures offered at Graye Manor wasn’t what she signed up for when she agreed to become part of the BDSM household. Heartbroken and discouraged, she turns to Domme Suzanne Bichat and discovers that her age-play aunt is also struggling with her relationship with Glenn, the youngest of the Johnson boys.

Both women decide that a change is in order, starting with a no limit/no restriction evening of action and adventure at a local bar—and no boyfriends or alpha males are around to stop them! However, too many drinks and a bout with a stripper-pole results in Suzanne’s ex-husband being summoned to drag the inebriated Domme from the club with little Krissy in tow. Sir Douglas Bichat, a handsome Brit and an honored dominant of The Gentlemen’s Club (TGC), employs his special skills as a loving, but firm, Daddy Dom and brings a sense of security and value to the two hurt girls.

Even while trapped in an unspoken love triangle with his ex-wife, and tormented by his own desire for her, Doug hold true to TGC’s Code of Conduct and places Suzanne’s needs above his own. With Krissy’s help, he finds a way to draw Glenn into the mix and ensure Suzanne’s happiness.

Little does he know that a void in his heart would soon be filled as the four of them grow into a family based on old-fashioned values and loving discipline. With Krissy as a niece, Glenn as his mentee, and, surprisingly, Suzanne as a Middle, Doug’s hands are happily filled with teddy bears, model ships, ice-cream cones, sand castles, and an occasional paddle to be applied to a cheeky bottom.

The week of Spring Break transforms each of them as the past is revealed, the future is uncertain, and the present exposes lust, temptation, unbridled sexual delights, and regrets. With the support of her new ‘parents’ and ‘brother,’ Krissy prepares for Bryon’s return home where he will be confronted with the truth and a decision that could permanently shatter the foundation of love and trust.

YES! There is more!
Be watching for Rob and Cassie’s wedding at Graye Manor, a shocking surprise, and the reunion of two amazing Doms in Book 5- Unnecessary Roughness!

Note: This book is a stand-alone; however, why eat the sprinkles when you can have the whole cake?

BDSM/AP lifestyler Breanna Hayse strives to give her readers truth and reality of the BDSM/Age-Play/Total Power and Erotic Exchange lifestyle.

Who am I?

I'm a native Californian gone 'wild', and had the opportunity to travel the globe and discover the world through the eyes of both a Marine Intelligence specialist and a BDSM lifestyler. I left the service to go into hospice nursing and grief counseling, eventually working as a marriage and family therapist for those involved in alternative lifestyle development. This experience has allowed me to gain unique inspiration for my books and offer realistic plots and relatable characters.

In 2004, my husband, John, and I joined forces to work with both submissives and dominants- teaching, training, listening and loving. Our goal was to take the mystery and fear out of the lifestyle and mentor people in safe, consensual and healthy relationships.

My first book, The Game Plan, was published in 2012 and opened the door to the now-booming world of Age-Play literature. Since that time, I've devoted my 'spare' time to writing, researching, community involvement, and private and group pro bono counseling in deviant behavior, alternative lifestyle, and addiction recovery.

I was formally 'dungeon trained' as a Domme before discovering my submissive side when I joined the service. My scenarios are pulled primarily from either personal experience or observation, including spending time in BDSM clubs as the safety/medical officer. My multi-faceted background allows me to glean from many avenues and give a unique and intelligent literary experience through elements of fantasy and fiction. I also discuss the questions and psychology of the lifestyle in a manner that is fun and informative, and based on 'the real deal.'

I live with my husband, musician, and fellow-author, John Hayse, and two border collies in southern California. We practice a 24/7 D&S relationship with speckles of AP (and many trips to Build-A-Bear), and happily spend every moment together that we can. My hobbies include my puppies, hiding my vanilla salt-water taffy where John can't find it, exotic art, collecting inspirational trinkets, and developing my own paddle line. You can also see me as a featured author/instructor in professional conference settings and as a Sexpert for kinkyliterature.com.

With Adam out on parole and back in Thunder Bay, she is determined to stop him from obtaining custody of Kyle.

Adam Guimond is a recovering alcoholic and ex-gangbanger newly-paroled. The Matawapit Family Series Book 1
Genre: Contemporary M/M Inspirational Romance

It’s been ten years since Emery Matawapit sinned, having succumbed to temptation for the one thing in his life that felt right, another man. In six months he’ll make a life-changing decision that will bar him from sexual relationships for the rest of his life.

Darryl Keejik has a decade-long chip on his shoulder, and he holds Emery’s father, the church deacon, responsible for what he’s suffered: the loss of his family and a chance at true love with Emery. No longer a powerless kid, Darryl has influence within the community—maybe more than the deacon. Darryl intends on using his power to destroy Deacon Matawapit and his church.

Hoping to save the church, Emery races home. But stopping Darryl is harder than expected when their sizzling chemistry threatens to consume Emery. Now he is faced with the toughest decision of his life: please his devout parents and fulfill his call to the priesthood, or remain true to his heart and marry the man created for him.

This is very erotic book about a spiritual journey.

An Ojibway from Northwestern Ontario, Maggie resides in the country with her husband and their fur babies, two beautiful Alaskan Malamutes. When she’s not writing, she can be found pulling weeds in the flower beds, mowing the huge lawn, walking the Mals deep in the bush, teeing up a ball at the golf course, fishing in the boat for walleye, or sitting on the deck at her sister’s house, making more wonderful memories with the people she loves most.

Book Trailer

Author Bio ~

I'm a geek, a gamer, a music lover, and a voracious reader. I love Star Trek and B-grade movies like Attack of the Killer Tomatoes and Sharknado. I enjoy figuring out software and learning new things and applying them to whatever book I'm currently working on.

I write romantic adventures. Mostly, I live vicariously through my characters. I can be a knife-wielding forager who saves her family from deadly kidnappers or a slinky thief who must outmaneuver her sadistic cousin. My male characters aren't cookie cutter either. There's so much diversity in the world that one size does not fit all. It's the same for love. My male characters are diverse. I have several he-men, alpha types, but I also have nerds in glasses who can kickass when needed, whether in a board room or in a parking garage. I have characters who are blind and some who have lost a limb putting their lives on the line to save others.

The one thing they all have in common is they are people who learn to move past their hurdles and find love.

Excerpt ~

Nakt relaxed onto the wooden lounger near the river and checked that the fishing pole was stable in its holder. Satisfied, he took his bottle of beer from the cup holder and drank as he fell into the peace he'd found after months of hard work.
After the debacle with Shae, Nakt had needed the stabilization. It'd taken him weeks of working with Kaos to reach a place where he could relax without accidentally sending his energy out and giving those nearest him living nightmares. How the higher powers ever thought she'd fit him, or that he deserved someone like that back-stabbing witch he'd never understand. And more power to that place if they wanted someone who decided whose life was worth living and whose was worth dying.
If he'd remained longer, he'd have fallen for her, her strength of character. Her compassion as she listened and guided the various people who sought her out and her single-mindedness when she was on a mission. Her determination to make sure each prisoner was brought to justice fairly.
It'd all been a facade. While her acolytes remained brainwashed. He'd had his eyes opened to the truth when he woke up in that cell. Flesh traders who wanted to pass him to Norwyna.
And his potential bonded had been the one to set the whole damned thing up. Maybe he should have given her a chance to explain, but then again they weren't friends. It'd only been about the sex, never about their potential bonding.
A hefty sigh pulled Nakt from his musings, and he rolled his head to the side. "Zev, man, hey. Didn't know you all were back yet."
They'd left over three months ago to attend Michael's new judgment then had taken a longer route back to Ketewah so they could do their foraging runs in the fallen cities before winter hit. Nakt had declined the invitation to go with them to the judgment. He was finally in a good place mentally, and after coming clean about his father's death, Draper and Kaos were assisting him in harnessing his abilities instead of just bottling them up behind a wall and never using them.
Sadness and worry rolled off Zev as he met Nakt's gaze. This man Nakt understood better than anyone else. His brothers all had a bit of darkness in them, but enough light to be able to trust others. Zev held a deep darkness, and his beast thrashed just beneath his skin. There'd been many a night neither man had slept; they would end up outside the Defenders' house talking well into the dawn.
"So, is Michael dead?"
"Yes," Zev answered his fingers tracing the three scars that sliced across his face.
"What is it? Shae stir up another hornet's nest? Send one of our own into another trap to be caught for Norwyna's amusement?"
"No," Zev replied, a scowl replacing the contemplative look.
"Then what?"
"I don't know. She wasn't there."
"Wasn't there? But she was the one that had to be there to pass judgment, she was the one that couldn't come to the MFZ to show the leaders what had happened—"
"They had a video. A video of Michael's actions, and a recited list of broken laws and the punishment for each in her voice. But no, she wasn't there. And it was weird—"
"So, this is where the nightmare calls home," a voice dripping with derision said from behind Nakt. His hand wrapped around the handle of his whip as he lunged from the chair and spun to confront the intruder.
"Kamolien? What the hell are you doing here?" he asked with a sneer.
"Delivering a message from Quaan." Kam held up a gridchip and tossed it his way.
He caught it automatically before throwing it back. "I want nothing from that vacking place."
Instead of catching it they both stepped back.
"Want it or not. Look at it or not. We don't really care. It took us over a month to find this damned village after you left. Betrayed her by getting—" Shalon cutoff as his twin sister jabbed him in the stomach.
She turned to face Nakt, her contempt a surprise. Of everyone in Shae's village this woman and her brother had been not quite friends but not enemies. "I'm not the one who betrayed anyone. She betrayed me—" He jabbed a finger toward the QZ.
"Yes, so it would appear. A plague crouched in our minds I think was the term you used. And I thank the gods she never heard it." Kamolien shrugged. "We've done our duty. You have the last of her now."
"The last of her? Not until she's dead and gone. She'll find a way to force me—"
Snarling, the brother pushed into Nakt's space. "As I said, the last of her, Nightmare. You who are so aptly named have destroyed everything. Given a gift and tossed it aside at the first test."
Pain lanced into him. "She's dead? Impossible. She sees everything."
"So she does. And so she did. Come on, Kam I'm tired of this place. Nothing but vacking ghosts here." Shalon spun on his heel.
"Kam? Is it true?"
Her dark eyes met Nakt's, and she shrugged. "By now? I don't know. It depends on the glass..." she shook her head. "It depends. She didn't want you to have that message until after—but Quaan asked us to deliver it sooner. He thought maybe knowing we were coming to you she'd hold on longer, but I don't know she wasn't doing well..." she kept trailing off as if unsure what to share. "We got lost after our transport to Icaria dropped us off and wandered for a while. Your village is not easy to find." She turned to follow her brother. "I'm sorry, Nakt. Maybe someday you'll find another as you were never bonded to her. It is unfortunate that Shae, however, bonded you."

What comes first, the plot or characters?

This made me think of the chicken and the egg riddle. Okay, so plot or the characters...

It differs. For Nakt and Shae's story the characters came first then the plot. I knew I wanted Shae to see the future and I wanted her to be Zroya's, my main female character from D'Reaper's Destiny, long lost twin sister. But I wasn't sure the plot I wanted to take.

It finally came to me as I finished Sara's Kaos that I wanted one of my scavenger brothers to be a bit of a jerk. And with Naktmerié's scavenger power being that he gives those who he attacks with his ability nightmares I thought he would be one who would lock his powers down and refuse to form long term relationships outside of his brothers. It felt right and worked out great for the story since Shae is a seer who helps keep humanity safe by nudging certain events into place. Unfortunately, one of those events will lead to her death if she can't get Nakt to willingly bond with her.

How do you come up with the titles to your books?

With my Woven Destinies, Scavenger's Bonded, and my upcoming series Assassins of Hellam all the titles are a play on the main character's names. Naktmerié's Monster takes a piece from Naktmerié's name while Monster is a derogatory term the Z'ers and villagers call Shae's people.

The reason Shae's people are called Monsters are most of them are 7-10 foot mutants that battled the Z'ers and villagers decades ago.

How much 'world building' takes place before you start writing?

A lot. For my New Adult Fantasy Romances I have them all set in future America where there are no more borders except literally to keep the mutants and undesirables away from the cities of the Mutant Free Zone. This is where the Chasm in Naktmerié's Monster and also referred in Birch's Faith comes into play as where the Chasm is located there are pieces of a natural river what could be widened and deepened.

I have hints throughout the stories of where the cities of the MFZ are based on degraded landmarks. Like the broken statue of the Lone Sailor in Norfolk, Virginia which that port is now called Icaria in my books. I also named the cities of the MFZ after demilitarized zones kind of as a nod to keeping the civilians safe even though one of the cities is the hub for the military who go on the frontlines of battles to protect the cities and are dubbed 'Liners or Frontliners.

When you are writing an emotionally draining scene, how do you get in the mood?

Mostly with music. If I need to write something sad and music isn't helping me get in the mood, I'll find a movie or a book that is heart-wrenching and read, or watch, it until I'm in the right headspace.

It's funny this question coming up as in Naktmerié's Monster there's a very emotional scene when Naktmerié rages at Shae because she set him up to be kidnapped, though in her defense she also planned his rescue, and he is angry that she's basically played with his life as if he were just a pawn on a chessboard.

It took a good bit of time to tweak that argument because most people when they are that angry they're going to go for the soft spots and do as much verbal damage as possible. So I can't hold back when I write those types of scenes but I also have to read them several times to make sure I'm hitting the spots that need to be hit but that can still be healed later in the book when the two MCs finally make up and get back together.

It's a very challenging balance for me.

How many books have you written?

I've written a total of six that are published. Five are in my New Adult Fantasy Romance series and one is a Romantic Suspense that's through Soul Mate Publishing.

Which is your favorite book?

Sara's Kaos, hands down. I LOVED writing that story. Kaos is that controlled, quiet man you want to keep poking until you get some sort of reaction from. He's just so locked down all the time. Whereas Sara's his polar opposite. She never meets a stranger she doesn't try to befriend and there's just so much joy in her. Of course, I had to rough her up a bit so she could understand the darkness that lurks in Kaos's soul.

Naktmerié's Monster would come in a close second because throughout the story you have two characters who really want a happily ever after but one doesn't feel he deserves it and the other doesn't know how to trust it when it happens.

In your current book, what was the process for coming up with the cover?

The red that seems to flow around Shae on the cover is the color of her scavenger abilities. I added the window overlooking the village as in the book that window is commented on quite a bit. She feels distanced but also connected as she can use her abilities to 'see' that her villagers are safe and secure since she's blind she uses her abilities to 'see' through her people's eyes.

Are you working on anything at the present you would like to share with your readers?

I'm finishing up Twin Contract. It's my first foray into the Contemporary Romance genre so there have been A LOT of re-writes. It's also the first of a trilogy with two others waiting in the wings.

I also have plans for a character that shows up in Shae's book and breaks her window. His name is Styx and he's an assassin who is a bit insane. But in a fun way.
