iss063e024519 (June 4, 2020) --- Japan's resupply ship, the H-II Transfer Vehicle-9 (HTV-9), is pictured attached to the International Space Station's Harmony module dwarfing the Moon behind it. Stowed inside the Japanese space freighter is the HTV-8 cargo pallet that was brought up to the station on a previous resupply mission. The pallet contains old nickel-hydrogen batteries for disposal that were disconnected from the station during a series of spacewalks at the end of 2019. Nearly hidden at the top center is the SpaceX Crew Dragon vehicle.

My Books. My Blog. My Post. Fun, sexy read and now in PRINT - Love My Fate by Daryl Devore #funread #sexyread #romance

Opening Scene

My erotic adventure began the moment he whispered, "Do you happen to own a pair of red, fuzzy handcuffs?"

~ * * ~

Well okay, it didn't exactly start there. If I'm going to be perfectly honest, I think it started with Kat's text: "Meet me at - insert name of five-star restaurant here."

Kat’s always getting me to take her out for expensive dinners. I don't mind, I'm a highly-paid executive, in a large global corporation, while she's a receptionist in a small dental office. Besides, I like good food and her company.

Kat and I have been BFFs since third grade. We were in each other's wedding parties and cried on each other's shoulders at our subsequent divorces. Now, we're each other's go-to person whenever the mood strikes. Obviously, the mood struck and it involved my credit card. I texted back a reply –"Xavier's. 6 pm."

~ * * ~

Kat waited outside the restaurant when my cab pulled up to the curb. "Timing or what? I just got here."

After the requisite cheek kiss, we stepped up to the Maitre D'. He smiled his I-must-be-friendly-because-they're-guests smile and escorted us to our table. We ordered drinks and chatted. We talked about the weather, her new dress, my job—you know, just old—no, scratch old, put long-time—girlfriend stuff.

After a diet conscious meal, followed by a calorie-loaded dessert, we waited outside for a taxi.

"Do you trust me?" With a goofy grin on her face, Kat's dark chocolate mellowed-from-too-much-wine, eyes gazed at me.

Having seen that innocent demeanour before; it meant nothing but trouble. I was a bit wary. Okay, a lot wary! The last time she'd gawked at me like that and asked the same brainless question, we ended up at a frat house beer slosh during Homecoming and I wasn't in college anymore.

A cab pulled up and stopped. She grabbed my arm and dragged me into it. "Convention Centre."

I slid next to her and shut the car door. "What's at the convention centre?"

"That's the trust me bit." She raised her hands and flicked two fingers up and down at the words trust me.

You have to love air quotes.

I checked my cell for messages then glanced at her. "Is this going to get me arrested? Again?"

She shook her head.

"Is it going to get me hit on—again—by horny, beer-soaked, college drunks?"

Kat giggled.

"Is that a yes or a no?"

"Nope. Not going to tell you. You need to trust me."

Air quotes.

Again.

I stuffed my cellphone into my royal blue Coach purse. "Okay, let's see what the Fates have in store."

A cold breeze tickled the back of my neck. What the hell? I twisted around, looking for what caused it. The windows were up. I doubted the AC was on, as it was early April, and still cool outside. I shook my head and settled back for the ride.

Traffic picked up as we neared the convention centre. The driver wormed his way through the congestion and parked at the curb by the main entrance.

"Well, it seems like a popular attraction." I paid the cabbie, and we followed the crowd into the building. As I read the convention billboard, my feet froze to the sidewalk. I snapped my face in her direction. "Erotic Notions! The… the sex show!"

"Yup. Keep moving. You're blocking people behind us." She nudged my arm to urge me forward. "I pre-ordered tickets. You just need to pay."

"I'm not going in there." I moved to the side and placed my hands on my hips.

"Oh, come on." Kat tugged my elbow. "It'll be fun. What else were you going to do tonight? Wash your hair?"

"But, what if…" My stomach dropped to my knees.

"Don't say it. I know, what if someone sees us? Girl, we're over twenty-one. We've both been married and divorced. We’re thirty-three."

"Excuse me. Thirty-two until August."

"Thirty-two. Geesh. But still, I think we're labelled as cougar wannabees. Not old enough to be a cougar. Not young enough to be a cheerleader."

I opened my mouth to voice another valid complaint, but Kat shushed me with a perfect teenage roll of her eyes and the first logical thing she'd said all night. "If somebody sees us, they're in there too—duh!"

I think I should've had more wine at dinner.

Kat directed me to the ticket kiosk and then in some blur of disbelief, I was standing inside the nation's biggest sex toy show.

The last consumer trade show I attended was for the company. It featured displays of state-of-the-art computers, software and how to make your office environmental and ergonomic. The dispassionate side of me said this was much the same. Display booths lining the walkways with salespeople pitching their wares.

The entire rest of my being said, "Run!" The wares here weren't technological. They were fruit-scented anal lube, blowup dolls, crotchless panties and… and… what the hell is that?

My Books. My Blog. My Post. Daryl Devore's Erotic Medival Romance - Branwyn's Love Now in Print! #hotread #medievalromance

5 stars Awesome steamy story - new favorite author

Branwyn is a complex character, who begins the book timid and modest. However, in this story, timid and modesty are two sinful attitudes. Quickly, she is thrown into a world of passion and sex. But she only has eyes for one man, Malacke, the Gon-Dra. He is fierce and does not hide his body or his lust. However, Branwyn catches his eye and soon his heart.

This was a quick read and I found myself up late at night to finish it. The kind of drama and love story that leaves you breathless and then sighing in contentment at the end. I will definitely read more books by Daryl Devoré.

Opening scene

“Stop that crying or by all that is powerful, I will beat you.”

“Do not yell so. You will frighten the poor child.”

Through tears, Branwyn stared at her uncle and aunt. “I… I do not understand. Why must I go?”

Her aunt sat next to her. “It is your time, child. A husband has been chosen. You must leave us to join with him.”

“About time it is!” Her uncle’s face grew redder with each word. “One year shy of a score she is, and still unwed. She must fall to her knees to thank God someone wishes to marry such an old spinster.”

Branwyn slapped the arm of her chair. “I decline. It is my right. I shall not marry this man!”

“How many men do you think you can refuse?” Her uncle paced about the small room. “This is the fourth suitor to ask for your hand. You cannot. It is done. Your things are being loaded as we speak.” He jerked back a curtain in the window and pointed.

The door opened and in stepped a tall broad-shouldered soldier. “The carriage awaits.”

“Branwyn.” Aunt Selda patted her hand. “You have no dowry. This is a good match. He is a rich man. He will give you babies.”

Suspicion gnawed at Branwyn’s stomach. “And what did he give you?”

“Gold.” Uncle Egbert picked up his purse and dropped it, with a rattle, back onto the table.

Branwyn dried her eyes with the edge of her sleeve, stood, kissed her aunt on the cheek and strode out the door to face her destiny.

A carriage with two strong, brown horses stood at the entrance. Two guardsmen on horseback waited. The driver offered his hand to help her mount.

Branwyn paused and turned. No one waited to say goodbye. The door of her uncle’s manor closed with a determined firmness. Warm tears gathered at the corner of her eyes. She blinked them back, then settled herself, pulled a blanket over her legs and snapped the curtains closed. If the family she’d grown up with refused to cry and wish her well, she would not shed a tear or turn for a final glance at her adopted home. With a shout and a shudder, the carriage pulled away.

For three days and nights, the horses pounded across the land. Her body ached from the incessant shaking. The driver allowed her allowed brief intervals to exit the carriage. A guard, always on hand, escorted her to an inn. As much as she tried to converse with her escort, no one spoke to her.

While she ate a quick meal, fresh horses, a new driver and soldiers relieved the tired ones. A rough blanket was Branwyn’s refuge into sleep—no bed, no soft down pillow, no gentle breeze billowing through her curtains, just the constant movement of the carriage. Exhaustion and frustration filled her as every time her eyes fluttered shut a sharp jostle would snap her awake.

When the coach stopped, Branwyn’s trial was over. Her patience had worn thin and weariness weighed heavily on her. The door opened, and she stepped down the stairs and onto the land of her new home.

Two torches, held by guards, broke the darkness. A woman stood just outside the doorway. “Dune Branwyn. Welcome to Black Dorn. I am Duna Trea.”

Branwyn smiled. Years of training surfaced through her exhaustion and she curtsied. “It is a delight to meet you, Duna Trea.”

A girl near Branwyn’s age stepped out from behind Duna Trea. “This is Leah, your serving girl. She will help you to your quarters, bathe, feed and prepare you for bed. You must be exhausted by your long journey.”

Branwyn nodded and sighed. “From the bottom of my heart, I cannot thank you enough. My bones are truly weary.”

Through the fog of near sleep, Branwyn felt herself being helped to walk, undress, cleanse and eat, but she needed no help to fall asleep.

His chance encounter with Mia Eddison results in a night of passion, but her brother—his parole officer—catches them together and doesn’t approve.
Mia falls hard for the cocky ex-con, but not because of his chiseled body. She vows to break through his walls and discover his secrets, but never expects those secrets to threaten her life.
When members of an organized crime ring kidnap Mia to force Mason’s return to the gang, he goes up against an old friend to save the woman he loves. Will his sacrifice be enough or will everything fall apart in a blaze of gunfire?

Excerpt

After they crossed the threshold into her loft and she reset the alarm, he grabbed her hand and dragged her to the bathroom. Mia’s laughter died as he slammed the bathroom door closed and pushed her against it. He jerked off her blouse and dipped his face in the swell of her breasts.
Too long. Too fucking long.
He unbuttoned her slacks, his fingers a little stiff, but he managed to push them off her hips. The fabric pooled around her ankles.
“Mason, wait. Get in the shower.” She fisted her hands in his T-shirt. Her chest heaved as she breathed. “I want to bathe you.”
His cock sprang to life. He dropped his backpack and stripped off his clothes as she finished undressing. Steam wafted from the shower and fogged the glass doors as she stepped under the spray. Water darkened her hair, the lengthy locks clinging to her skin, and her nipples hardened as water sluiced over her curvy, tanned body.
Mason joined her in the tub, closed the door behind him, and hot water pelted his back in a rough caress. Tension eased from his shoulders, and he glanced at Mia as she gently rubbed a sudsy body puff over his pecs. Several bruises still marred his chest and stomach, and she looked ready to cry.
“The bruises look worse than they feel.” He clasped her cheek. “I’m a fast healer, and I’ve been through worse than what you witnessed on Saturday. When I say I’m fine, I mean it.”
She kissed the hollow of his throat and rubbed slightly harder. Tempted to jerk her against him and prove he could handle it rough, he gripped his hands in his hair to let her go at her own pace. Her soft, reverent touch eased his aches, burned through his hard shell, and pierced his dirty soul.
He’d done so many bad things in his life, and he didn’t know why she accepted him.
Because you haven’t told her everything, you asshole.
She already knew too much and asked too many questions. He’d expected her to grill him about Onyx and Sondokes as soon as he walked through her door, but she only asked about Udell and Harper. She didn’t seem angry with him anymore, and he didn’t know what to make of it.
Mia scrubbed the puff over the bulging biceps of his right arm, past the elbow and forearm. She swiped it over his fingers and moved to his left hand to scrub all the way to his shoulder. She darted her tongue out to lick a few scars on his chest. The muscles in his back flexed as she scrubbed the puff down his spine. Her wet breasts pressed against his chest, her nipples hard like diamonds, and she pulled back to lather a bar of soap in the puff. His erection jutted close to her face as she knelt. She cleaned his thighs, knees, and calves, and cupped his balls with the puff still in her hand.
He gasped and dropped his arms to grab her hair.
“Keep your arms up. I want you at my mercy.”
A shudder coursed through him. “Yes, ma’am.” He locked his hands behind his head again and closed his eyes as she bathed him. Her sensual touch brought tears to his eyes. He couldn’t remember a time in his life when he felt so clean and whole, and not because he showered. The water washed away the embarrassing tears, and he held himself rigid as she cleaned the hard length of his penis, the sensitive band of skin that connected his testicles to his ass, and then his anus. He involuntarily clenched his cheeks. Although shocked she touched him there, the pleasure she gave trumped his hesitation and he relaxed.
A soft little murmur left her mouth. Mia trailed her fingers over the wet hairs on his thighs and massaged his ball sac again.
He cleared his throat. “I have to ask you something. It’s nagged at me for days.” Mason forced his eyes open and met her gaze. Her hand never left his balls. “You called me ‘baby’ the other day in that alley. Why?”
“You heard that?” She bit her lip. Water beaded on her eyelashes and clumped the strands together, but she didn’t look away. “You always call me darlin’, and I love the way you drop the g. It’s much better than sugar, by the way. I thought you would like a pet name too. That’s fine if you don’t want one or don’t like it. I can call you—”
“I like it. A lot. I’m just surprised. I don’t think I’ve ever had a pet name.”
“Well, you have one now, baby.” The grin she beamed up at him weakened his knees. “I’m happy you like it. I thought it might be a little too feminine for you.”
“Nah, it makes me feel precious.”
Mia laughed as he winked at her. “You are precious, but right now you’re solid as a rock, and you’re all mine.” She licked his mushroomed head as though to claim him.
Yes, claim me.
Her mouth opened and she took him inside.

What's a naughty fairy tale like Red Riding Hood without Red, the huntsman, grandma and especially, the big bad wolf?

Opening Scene

Every good fairy tale begins with once upon a time. This one begins with once upon a dream.

****

“Oh, that feels so good.” She ran her fingers through his hair.

He reached his hands up to her shoulders and trickled his fingertips to her hips. His strong fingers kneaded her breasts. Her erect, pink nipples rubbed against his rough hands each butt cheek and dug his fingers into her flesh.

She slid her fingers along his chest and flicked his nipples. “You make me feel so hot.”

Applying tender kisses on her stomach, he moved from her navel to her thigh. He pressed a hand on each inner thigh, urging her to spread her legs. A thrill tingled in her as he licked his lips.

“Like what you see?” She wiggled her bottom.

A smile crossed his face as he lowered his head between her legs. Using small nips and kisses, he traced a path along her thigh and stopped when his lips brushed the edge of her bush. Licking her slit, he caressed the inside of her thigh with the tips of his fingers. When his hand reached her pussy, his finger teased her wetness.

“Don't stop!” She entangled her fingers in his hair.

His finger slid deep into her as his tongue neared her clit. “Baby, I'm gonna fuck you until you beg for…”

…and oil prices soared as the cost of a barrel of crude rode to an all-time record…

****

“Oh gawd,” moaned Red, as she grabbed a pillow to cover her ears. “It can't be morning.”

…lost three to two. The Chicago Blackhawks traded right winger, Steve…

From under the pillow, she forced one eye to open. The digital alarm clock showed 6:07.

…snow and blowing snow and near record cold temperatures…

“I don't wanna get up.” Her left hand reached out from under the warm blankets and slapped at the snooze button. Closing her eyes, she sighed and settled back into sleep. “Can I just go back to my dream?”

…all roads leading into the downtown core are slow and there are two major accidents on Michigan Avenue. Delays and cancellations at O'Hare International….

Again, her left hand thrust out from under the blankets and pressed the snooze button. No sooner had she settled back under the covers, the annoying beep-beep-beep of the backup clock sounded.

Red sighed and threw back the covers. A blast of cool air chilled her arms. There was only one way to shut off this alarm – get out of bed, walk across the room and smack the damn button.

Which she did, then trudged to the bathroom, turned on the shower, and stumbled into the kitchen. After popping a cinnamon raisin bagel into the toaster, she returned to the shower. Eyes closed, Red enjoyed the sensation of the water as she lathered her hair.

Monday. The mind-numbing day I get to put up with Mom's endless questions of what I did over the weekend. Which completely differs from Friday’s mind-numbing questions of what plans I have for the weekend. Do I have a date? Who? Or why not? She could always call Mrs. Brenston. Her son, Irvin…ugh. Why won't she get out of my love life? What? Does she think I'll never find anyone?
