Daryl Devore talks about cooking disasters and the scald on her arm on the #OpenBook Blog Hop #writers #DarylDevore

Welcome to the Open Book Blog Hop! This week’s theme - Have you or any of your characters experienced cooking disasters?

I had to think about this one. I think the answer is no. I've used cooking a meal and eating a meal as a seduction - but I don't think anything drastic ever happened in fiction.

Although I currently have an annoying scald on my arm from my blender "exploding" when I was pureeing my butter nut squash soup.

So my characters don't have mishaps - but I certainly do!!!

  1. Ouch! That sounds annoying. But it reminds me that I knew to buy a new blender.

  2. I've had several small injuries from time in the kitchen, too. I'd blame the appliances, but honestly, it's probably user error. @samanthabwriter from
