I read a tweet the other day - an experienced author mentoring a newer author.
The new author was at the point - delete the whole *$&%*$ book. It's a mess!!!
Yup - that's exactly right. It's a mess. And that is perfectly ok.
Repeat - first draft can be a mess because you can fix a mess.

It is ok if suddenly in chapter 6, your hero's name changes from Chuck to Grayson - for no reason other than you fell in love with the name Grayson and just had to use.
And it is pefectly ok if you absolutley love to happily use beautifully crafted LY adverbs. You can delete them later.
And if every verb is a passive verb - no worries. They can be fixed later. was running - ran. was walking - walked. was using passive verbs - used passive verbs.
I'm not going to talk about commas. Commas and I don't get along.
And it's wonderful if you love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! exclamation marks. You can - painfully - delete them later.
Don't sweat it until the story is finished. Don't try to make chapter 1 perfect or you'll never get to chapter 2. And if you don't get to chapter 2 then you won't get to chapter 3 or 4 or 15 or 23.
Finish the book. Type The End. Cry - tears of joy and exhaustion.
Now go back and turn your ugly duckling into a beautiful swan.
