As promised - a hot excerpt from From Despair to Ecstasy
After a record-breaking short shower, he stood next to the bed, towelling off. He’d stumbled exiting the bathroom from the sight that greeted him; a candlelit room with Erika bent over scattering rose petals on the bed. It wasn’t the candles or rose petals that hit him in the groin. She’d changed into the teddy, and her bare backside was a beacon calling out to him. His hands tingled in anticipation of cupping those smooth round cheeks. A vision of sinking his teeth into one flashed through his head.
She straightened and turned. “Like?”
He ran his gaze down the black teddy that hugged her curves. She means the rose petals, doofus. “Uh… yeah. You brought all this in your luggage?”
“No. I ordered it. The hotel has a romance package.” She giggled. “It’s all on your tab.”
He pulled her next to him. “Guess you’re just gonna have to pay off that debt.” He placed his hand on the back of her thigh, sliding it up and over her butt. Lowering his mouth to the side of her neck, he nipped her soft flesh.
“No. No. Stop.”
“What?”
“Hell no,” his cock complained.
“You were in charge in India. I’m in charge here. We’re gonna do this my way.” She rose up on her toes and planted a perky kiss on his lips. “Don’t want you getting all hot and bothered too fast.”
He pressed his swelling cock against her thigh. “Already am.”
“I did happen to notice.” She slipped her hand between them, sliding slid one finger along his balls and up his shaft.
Darien dropped his forehead to her shoulder. “Oh God, woman. It’s been a while. You have to play fair.”
“Never.” She breathed the word across his chest.
His blood boiled. He hoisted her up to his belly. She wrapped her legs around his hips and her arms around his neck. Stretching his arms out, he gave her space to lean back. His gaze raced up and down the black lace, just sheer enough to hint at the pleasures hidden beneath. The material stretched from her right shoulder down to her mound, then back up to her left shoulder. A tantalizing gap in the front left exposing the exact amount of flesh to raise his heartbeat. Among other things.
He wanted her. He craved to be wrapped up in her. Sweat dripping. Moans filling the air. With a quick move, she’d be naked. Just toss her on the bed and dive in. He knew she’d be hot and ready. His to claim. The pressure deep inside built, urging him. He lifted his hand to her shoulder, slid his fingers under the tiny strap and pulled.
No. Stop, stupid. Don’t. Don’t go all Neanderthal. This is the woman you love. Treat her with respect. His chest heaved and fell as he calmed himself.
“Get it back?”
He met her gaze. “What?”
“Your control? Your eyes went… feral. I thought…”
“Almost did. I want you so badly. Just being near you has me on fire. And this… thing you’re wearing. Teasing glimpses of what I want.”
“I’m sorry.” Sadness filled her eyes.
Idiot. He mentally slapped the back of his head.
Darien opened his mouth to speak. She placed a finger on his lips. “Ssh. I should have thought about that. You must come off the stage pretty wired up, and it has been a while. I do have to admit, I’m more than a little horny, too. We can leave all this romance until tomorrow.” She grinned. “When you’ve gotten the fire out of your system.”
“Yes,” his cock yelled. “Do it.”
“There is no getting the fire out of me when I'm around you. You make me burn.” He hunched his shoulders. “You’re right. I was in charge in India. So tonight, you’re the Boss Lady. What do you want me to do?”
“You sure?”
He grinned. “Let’s just say, I know the end to this and the longer you take, the more I’m gonna make you scream. So it’s a win-win. What do I do?”
“Two things. Put me down, then lay down.”
“Those I can do.” He released his hold on her and knelt on the bed. “Belly or back?”
“Back.”
He stretched out, propping his arms behind his head.
She climbed onto the bed, straddled him and settled her hips on his. The vision before him was electrifying, her cute short hair, those fabulous grey-blue eyes, and that body that gave him an instant hard-on.
“What’re you grinning at?” She opened the bottle of massage oil.
“The view. I love the view. Of you.” She bounced as he chuckled. “I could write that into a song.” He sang, “I’m so in love with you. The view of you. Your gorgeous breasts. Breasts. Breasts. I’m stuck on your breasts.”
“You silly.” She slapped his belly. “I should hop off and go sleep in another room.”
He snapped his mouth closed, shook his head, crossed his heart and held up his hand.
“Somehow, I doubt you were ever a Boy Scout. Let’s see. Punishment for a bad boy.” She glanced around the room. “Ah.” Jumping off the bed, Erika dashed to the closet, pulled a belt off one of the bathrobes and returned.
Darien held out his wrists. “Oh, yeah. Bad boy needs punishing.”

Erika is disheartened by the betrayal of her parents. Her father's destruction of her club and the humiliation of her mother’s drunken behaviour have her feeling down, but those are the least of her worries. She has a wedding to plan but won’t. Having been betrayed too often, she’s scared to trust Darien.
How can Erika prove to herself and Darien that she loves and trusts him? Simple. All she has to do is jump out of a plane.
