I found this on Twitter. It explains the 20 steps needed to write a book. It succinctly shows the plotter side of the argument.
The photo shows the pantser side of the debate.

There is no argument or discussion because you - as a writer - are one or the other. Don't change because someone says their way is better.
You are either a plotter or a pantser.
Now go write your book.
