This week's 8-10 sentences is from Desires.
Scene set - Fuschia collapsed from a shock. Peyton rushes to her side, and has been harrainged by the furious dance moms. One mother, Tiani, asked if he needed anything.
Peyton shook his head. "No. And thank you. You've been much more than helpful."
Tiani tossed back her head and laughed. "Mr. Lang, that's just a nice way of sayin' I got Wileema out of here before she really started hollerin' at ya. Ya do know, Ms. Quinn is one of the few good things about this part of town. That is an angel whose head you are cradlin' like a precious baby."
He nodded. "I'm beginning to understand that, Ms. Washington."
