A Yoga Thought for Authors, Reviewers and the World in General #yogathoughts #ThursThoughts

An author gets a favourable review - they feel good about themselves - might even smile - then they move on.

An author gets a rude, vicious review - those words fester in the author's head for months. Maybe even stifling their muse.

I'm not saying "never give a bad review" - I'm saying "watch how you say it". Writers are the ones who can read between the lines.

People in general - the world seems full of hate at the moment. People cannot seem to disagree about something without screaming profanity infused rage a each other. Those words will sink in and infect a person. Infections are never good. They breed pandemics and a pandemic of hate is not what we should be living with.

  1. I love this quotation - what's intriguing to me, beyond the impact of what others say, is the things we tell ourselves and how easy it can be to focus on the negatives rather than the positives.
