Hi- I'm back - sort of  accidentally took the month of April off from blogging. But I'm back and picking up where we left off. This is my new book - which happens to be an old book. I received my rights back from my original publisher and I am re - releasing it.

Derek is a wealthy businessman who is annoyed with women at the moment - a bad break up. He changes his designer suit to a scruffy pair of jeans and a sweatshirt and leaves the sports car and takes the rusted old Camaro to a dive bar where he meets his buddies who only know him as Derek. (A smidgen of editing to make it fit.)

“Yo, low life and scum-beings.”
They waved their beers.
“Barkeep, whatever they’re drinking I’ll have two of. I’m behind here and gotta get caught up,” he said as he grabbed a handful of peanuts.
“Thought you had a date tonight,” said Steve, married with three kids. He spent many nights hiding out in the bar spending his paycheck on beer and false conversations.
“Women are such pains.” Derek tossed some money on the bar and took a gulp of beer.
“Bulletin,” recently divorced Linc, shouted to the few patrons in the bar. “Derek’s broken up with his woman of the month.”

Two O’clock with the Billionaire is Daryl Devoré’s latest hot romance. A contemporary romance sweetened with a bit of vanilla sexcapades.
Where Derek Davenport is concerned, women only had one thing in mind: trap him into a marriage. The perfect way out? Hire a courtesan. While partying with his buddies he places an online ad that reads – Woman Wanted.
Unemployed and nearing financial desperation, Arianne is forced to step out of her comfort zone and answers an ad that reads Woman Wanted. With minimal hours and excellent pay, she accepts the position of courtesan to a handsome billionaire.
Their sexual antics cause emotions neither is willing to admit it. Will Arianne and Derek drive each other crazy…or will they fall in love first?
Note: This book was previously published by New Dawning Bookfair under the title A Kept Woman.

  1. Glad to see you back, Daryl. I've been waiting for more of this story, and you don't disappoint!

  2. Seems they know him well, even if they don't know all the truth about him. Enjoyed the snippet!

  3. Good for you getting your rights back and publishing it yourself. Great banter between the guys. I hope they don't find out he's a billionaire slumming.

    1. Thank you. It's been a challenge learning how to re-release- clear up some edits - new covers - make epub and mobis. But I think I'm up for the challenge.

  4. I have a few responses. 1) How does one "accidentally" take a month off? 2) I love your tagline. 3) Their conversation does a great job of delineating his relationship with his fellow tipplers.

    1. LOl- well see it's like this - I missed putting up my post then I forgot then I got so far behind I said screw it and gave up. May came along and here I am.

  5. Nice to see you back! April just about got away from me too. This is actually kind of a sad little group- hope at least a few of them find happiness again!

    1. It was one crazy month. Yes - you got the picture I was going for - a sad group of guys.

  6. They all seem like princes among men! :)
