Darien is on the run from What Happens in Bangkok on Weekend Writing Warriors #8sunday #erotic #romance

First off -  major apologies to not getting to anybody last week. I took a spur of the moment trip to a friend who needed a girls's weekend and never had a chance to get to your blogs :-( Got home too late Sunday night and was waaaay to tired. Thank you all for your comments - I will try and hit you all today and tweet everybody.

Scene set - Darien has made it out of the club - alive and is now on the run. He calls his brother to come and get him then ponders how to hide in a parking lot.
(remember he's covered in blood, booze and vomit)

Could always try standing in the middle of the lot with my hands over my eyes, playing ostrich.

Police cars raced by, lights flashing, sirens blaring. Darien heaved a small sigh when they passed.
"Hey, baby. Wanna have a good–" The bleached blonde streetwalker stumbled back, raising her hand to cover her nose.
Great. Rejected by a hooker. This was supposed to be the start of my vacation. Not the end of my life.

To save Darien's life his brother asks, "Can you walk in high heels?"
Erika Bailey, owner/manager of a drag queen club in Bangkok, Thailand has happily settled into all aspects of her new life, except for her lack of a love life. When a new diva auditions, Erika is bewildered over her instant attraction to the blond God, Apollo.
Darien Scott is on vacation after a world tour and mistakenly figures the safest place to be is at The Black Dragon with the head of a Triad. When the club is hit, Darien is the only person to get out alive. Now   he's running from the police and a Triad. Mistake number 1.
Disguised as a drag queen, he's hired by Erika, but falls hard for his new boss, then struggles with not coming clean with her. Mistake number 2.
Can he fix his mistakes and find a life filled with love or is he headed straight for mistake number 3?

  1. You've chosen a perfect way to demonstrate the condition he's in.

    1. Try to keep the horror at a minimum by putting in a bit of humour.

  8. Yeah, ostrich defense not so good in this situation. Loved his reaction to the hooker's rejection, but seriously, who is going to come near him reeking as he does? Now if he could only turn that to his advantage...Great snippet!

  9. Haha! In his eyes, the lowest of all rejections... Only one way to go from there, right? And I bet it makes for a good story. :-)

  10. Like the other snippets you have shared from this story, this is a fantastic scene! Covered in blood, vomit, and booze, that's just so great, and the streetwalker's rejection...oh my!
